The reason is we're having problems with one area of track shown below, where the train just doesnt go other the lines smoothly and keeps getting de-railed. My dad has kept working on it but has shown no progress for about 3 nights. Its things like this which are fustrating but need to be done and once it is done, progress will be back on track.

Meanwhile We have been making houses and other buildings for the track out of cardboard, save buying those plastic ones. I myself have even made a post office and plan on making a cafe to be called "The hillside Railway cafe". The problem is that the inner line wont run paralelle to the main line round the corners as the curved tracks are not sharp enough. So we spent 10 mins thinking on what to do, after all, scrapping the inner line would make the track pretty simple and boring almost. So we decided to keep the inner line but make it shorter and raise it up at the back so it runs over the back of the main line and...we think it works. Good news too, for those that are not too sure what i am talking about i have photos!

Raised inner line going into goods yard.

Inner line raised over the main line.

So much more to tell but i think thats enough for one post.

oh p.s check out the messyness again...i see another clean up coming.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Have a good one!

Progress Report

Ok so we have finally got the outside track runing smoothly as possible. I did have a video and photos but it seems to of been deleted. i also had a good tidy up of the track but its soon becoming messy again as we begin to start the inner line. For the inner line which will efectivly be the goods line we had a rather ambitouse idea to get the line into the goods yard by raising the line up and curving back onto itself goin other the main outside line and its own line (inner) and then slowly lowering back down into the goods yard. See this was the part we needed pictures, il take some more.

sidenote
From the last post you may of recinised it was my birthday or should i say my dads, so far i have been writing this post on behalf of my dad as a present for him to see on his birthday. So just to let you know this is harry's son writing this which i should soon change if i can add more authors. My dad may occasionally post when he's got the time but its mostly likley going to be me keeping you informed :).
